Quickstart
1. Ask your agent
Open your coding agent in a folder and send:
Use npx openfilm to make a video
Say what the video is about, and add files if you have them: footage, music, a logo, a script. The agent runs npx openfilm, reads the manual it prints, and writes the film: film.html, its pages and its assets.
2. Watch and edit in Studio
The agent opens the film in Studio with npx openfilm open. Studio runs on your machine and opens in your browser. It follows the agent: every file it saves shows up within seconds.
Click anything in the picture to change it: text, color, position, size. Trim and move clips on the timeline. Your edits are written to film.html, so the agent sees them too and can keep working on top of them.
To open Studio yourself:
npx openfilm open
3. Render
npx openfilm render
The MP4 is saved beside film.html, named after the folder. Add --4k for 3840 px wide, --fps 60 for a higher frame rate.
Keep going
Ask for changes in plain words: "make the title bigger", "cut the third shot on the beat", "add a map of the route". The agent edits the same files you edit in Studio.
